Jack Harrison may have dropped hint about his Leeds United plans

Leeds United beat Sheffield Wednesday 1-0 on Saturday afternoon.

Leeds United winger Jack Harrison has told the Daily Mail that he’s interested to see how Marcelo Bielsa’s style works in the Premier League.

The Whites hosted Sheffield Wednesday at Elland Road on Saturday evening, and knew that a win would take them three points clear of second-placed Sheffield United after they could only draw with Millwall earlier on Saturday.

Leeds absolutely dominated Wednesday but had to sell for just the one goal, with Harrison finding the net just past the hour mark to give the Whites a deserved 1-0 win.

With just four games to play, Leeds are now in the box seat for promotion back to the Premier League for the first time in 15 years.

Harrison made himself a hero on Saturday having endured an up-and-down campaign for the Manchester City loanee, notching four goals and two assists in 33 games.

The 22-year-old is set to return to Manchester City in a matter of weeks, but he may have dropped a hint that he sees his future with Leeds United in the Premier League.

Harrison has admitted that the style under Bielsa isn’t like anything in the Championship, and he’s fascinated to see how the style works in the Premier League.

“You see the style of play we have. It is not like the rest of the Championship teams,” said Harrison. “It will be interesting to see if we can continue that style of play in the Premier League as the standard is that much better,” he added.

Harrison’s wording – notably ‘if we can continue‘ – suggests that he may well be eyeing an Elland Road stay if Leeds go up, as he’s clearly already looking towards next season, something he appears to be thinking about being a part of.

Whether Leeds want Harrison back is another matter, but the man himself is talking about the collective ‘we’ at Leeds and continuing Bielsa’s style into next season, hinting he may just fancy at return to West Yorkshire.
