Leeds United winger Jack Harrison has made a wonderful start to the season for Marcelo Bielsa’s side this time around.

Leeds United winger Jack Harrison has told the Yorkshire Evening Post that he is pleased to have heard the away fans singing his name at the DW Stadium against Wigan Athletic on Saturday.

Harrison was re-signed by Leeds on loan in the summer, after a fairly mixed first season at Elland Road.

The youngster was criticised at times last term, which he admits was tough.

But three games into the new season, Harrison seems to have won over the travelling Leeds support with some brilliant performances.

And the winger said: “I heard them throughout the game. It’s amazing when you have that support behind you.

“It can always be tough when you know the fans are sometimes against you. But I understand it’s a massive club and you can see how much it means to them.

“I want to be at my best and play to my potential to make them happy. I knew it was going to be important to be prepared for that and be ready to make a difference, not only within the team but to make the fans happy as well.”

Harrison seems to added more dynamism to his game over the summer, where he worked with a personal trainer to develop his fitness.

Harrison’s place in Leeds’ team could still come under pressure as the season goes on, as Marcelo Bielsa has Helder Costa waiting in the wings.

However, for the time being, Harrison looks set to continue to start – with Leeds topping the Championship table at this early stage.
