Manchester City loanee struggled to make an impact for Leeds at the Liberty Stadium.

Leeds United winger Jack Harrison got his biggest chance yet for Leeds United on Tuesday night when he was selected for the entire second half at the Liberty Stadium.

Harrison was keen to take one touch too many at times, and this culminated in him blowing a clear cut chance to win the game late on.

The Manchester City loanee did not affect his team in a negative way defensively, but he was not really a positive from an attacking sense either, and he will need to improve.

Leeds fans have seen loanees come and go in recent seasons, and Harrison is one of those who deserves time.

Still only 21, Harrison is an England youth international and he can count David Villa among his admirers.

MADRID, SPAIN - September 02: David Villa #7 of Spain waves to fans at the end of the FIFA World Cup qualifying match between Spain and Italy at the Santiago Bernabéu Stadium on September...

Villa played with Harrison at New York City, and told The Guardian: “I’ve spent a lot of years in this game, and he has something important that only a few players have. When he has the ball at his feet, you get the sensation something is going to happen.”

Those words alone should preach patience to Leeds fans, who have not really felt the same as David Villa has from their early impressions of Harrison.

There is going to be some adjustment for the youngster, and it may even take him half a season or so to figure it out.

Leeds have enough attacking options that they can afford to be patient, and if fans can stay behind him and continue to give him their backing, then hopefully the winger will figure it out.
