It looks like Kemar Roofe will get a well-earned break for Leeds United on Sunday.
Marcelo Bielsa’s side visit QPR in a third-round FA Cup clash and the Leeds striker – who has 13 Championship goals this season – will not start.
Instead, Jack Harrison, on a season-long loan from Manchester City, will start up front ahead of him, as confirmed by the Argentine head coach.
Problem is, Harrison is not a traditional number nine. In fact, he’s a winger, which means that the Leeds boss will look a bonafide genius if this proves to be a masterstroke.
Bielsa, who is unable to use Patrick Bamford due to injury, is no stranger to an inspired decision with the West Yorkshire side, but if Harrison does the business tomorrow then it may be his most creative move to date as Whites boss.
It could also be argued that Harrison’s Leeds spell might hinge on how he does at Loftus Road.
To be fair, he hasn’t been a roaring success since joining from the Pep Guardiola’s side, so tomorrow might just be make or break for him.
