Leeds United attacker Jack Harrison scored in Marcelo Bielsa’s side’s last match.

Leeds United’s Jack Harrison has admitted to the Yorkshire Evening Post that Marcelo Bielsa was right to take him off during his side’s last match.

Leeds beat Derby County 2-0 in their last outing at Elland Road, with the Whites’ performance in the contest impressing.

Harrison was selected to start in the match, with the Manchester City loanee catching the eye.

Harrison scored Leeds’ second goal in the contest, to put the game beyond any doubt.

But he was then replaced by Jamie Shackleton for the final 30 minutes, as Bielsa looked to see out the game.

And Harrison admits that Bielsa made the right decision by taking him off.

“It was a smart decision from the manager, to carry out the game,” Harrison said. “I think it was a good decision.”

Leeds ended up keeping a clean sheet with Shackleton on the pitch, as they claimed the three points in comfortable fashion.

Leeds are next in action at the weekend against Stoke City, where it remains to be seen if Harrison will be selected to start again.
