If Aston Villa are to begin their Premier League campaign in a positive fashion then Jack Grealish will have to produce his best form for the club.

Aston Villa supporters have seen drastic changes at their football club in the last three seasons, and no more than the change in their star man Jack Grealish.

The Midlands outfit were promoted to the Premier League in May, with Grealish captaining his boyhood club back to the promised land.

Over these last three years, the 23-year-old has matured both on and off the field in big ways, and the recent video posted by his brother on his personal Twitter account proves it.

Kevan Grealish posted a small clip of Jack training despite being on holiday, with the message reading that the ‘skippers being doing this every day in Dubai preparing for pre-season’.

Albeit an 18-second clip, it shows just how far Grealish has come over the years. Three summers ago, when Villa were relegated, Grealish was criticised for a picture which circulated all over social media of him lying on the pavement during the off-season.

Back then, the teenager was just a young lad and some didn’t like the way he was representing the club, but during Villa’s time in the second tier, along with the club, he has come on leaps and bounds.

He is now showcasing his maturity off the field, and most importantly, leading by example as Villa prepare for a return to the big-time.

Grealish will be well aware that his performances in the middle of the park will be key to Dean Smith’s side success because if he can turn it on then he will cause havoc in the Premier League.

Depending on how Villa and Grealish fare, if both start the new season well then it won’t be a surprise to see the playmaker potentially making the England squad in September.

There’s no doubt that Grealish has the talents to make Gareth Southgate’s squad, it’s just about him making his voice heard on the biggest stage of them all.
