According to the Chronicle, Newcastle United have entered the race for Aston Villa’s Jack Grealish.
Newcastle are keen to add a new play maker this summer, with Rafael Benitez keen to increase the creativity available to him.
With Villa needing to sell Grealish to raise funds, Newcastle are now reportedly looking to take advantage.
And if they could get a deal over the line for the talented youngster, then Newcastle could have their best dribbler since Hatem Ben Arfa.
Ben Arfa was a favourite of sections of the St. James’ Park crowd, with his mazy runs often setting pulses racing on Tyneside.
If Grealish was to arrive at Newcastle he could do similar, but he also has the work-rate to go with his tricks in possession.
Grealish has become a real asset off the ball as well as on it, over the past campaign, with his performances at Villa highly impressive.
If Newcastle could now complete a deal it would be an eye catching signing, and Grealish would have the potential to light up St. James’ Park next season.
