Aston Villa playmaker Jack Grealish is staying with the club.

Aston Villa playmaker Jack Grealish has taken to Twitter this evening in order to send a message to fans after a transfer window filled with speculation about his future.
Grealish, 22, has come up through the ranks with his boyhood club, and enjoyed a superb second half to last season, ending the campaign with three goals and six assists to his name.
The playmaker hit a fine run of form after the turn of the year, and helped Villa into the Championship play-off final – only to come up short with a 1-0 defeat to Fulham at Wembley.
Failing to return to the Premier League led to major financial problems for Villa, and Grealish was seen as their most saleable asset, with a host of Premier League clubs allegedly interested.
Tottenham were seemingly leading the race for much of the summer, but Daniel Levy was biding his time until he could get Grealish for a bargain fee – and ended up waiting too long.
Villa received new financial backing from Nassef Sawiris and Wes Edens last month, and that meant that Villa no long had to accept a knockdown fee for Grealish, leaving Spurs rocked.

Today, Sky Sports reported that Tottenham did offer £25million for Grealish on Wednesday, but the bid was rejected, and Villa stood firm on his future, leaving Spurs to end the transfer window with no new signings.
Now, Grealish – who was ‘disillusioned’ at being told to stay at Villa according to Sky Sports – has taken to Twitter to send a message to fans after the closure of the summer transfer window, telling them it’s time to get to work with Villa, showing that his focus is solely on his boyhood club despite having the chance to play for a Champions League club.
