Aston Villa ace Bertrand Traore celebrated his birthday on Monday – and he received a message from Manchester City star Jack Grealish.
Traore turned 25, and will hope for this to be a positive year having shown promising signs in his first Villa campaign last season.
Burkina Faso international Traore received plenty of messages from teammates, and former Villa pal Grealish got involved.
The pair played together for Villa last season, and it seems that Grealish loved playing with the former Chelsea man.
Grealish took to Instagram to not only wish Traore a happy birthday, but also state ‘what a player, what a man’ in a resounding verdict.
Traore has yet to start a Premier League game this season, and has just 18 minutes of playing time to his name so far.
New signings Emiliano Buendia and Leon Bailey may eat into Traore’s minutes this season, but having that kind of quality depth is something Villa have been striving towards.
Some may feel that Grealish will simply forget about Villa now he has gone to Manchester City, but he’s still thinking about his former teammates.
We will now see whether Traore can kick on this season and help fill something of a creative void left by Grealish’s departure.
