Several ex-Everton players found new clubs over the winter, even if most of the headlines focused elsewhere.
Everton kept things quiet on their end, with Tyrique George being the only addition to Sean Dyche’s squad. That came after a window in which Kevin Thelwell remained silent right up until the final day.
While there were no major departures from Finch Farm, a few former Everton players did secure moves of their own. James Rodriguez has now joined Minnesota United in MLS and Ademola Lookman has signed for Atletico Madrid.
Another former Everton player is still searching for his next club, and Jack Grealish has sent him a message of support.
Jack Grealish Reaches Out to Former Everton Midfielder Dele Alli

Dele Alli’s future remains uncertain, with recent reports tying him to a possible move to the Championship.
The midfielder is still a free agent following his departure from Como, and it’s been a difficult stretch for him since leaving Merseyside.
Dele posted some training photos on Instagram, which drew a reply from Jack Grealish. The Manchester City midfielder replied with two emojis—a blue heart and heart hands—in response to Dele’s post.
The support didn’t stop there. Both Alexander Iwobi and Ross Barkley also left positive messages, adding their backing as Dele looks to get his career back on track.
Injuries were a major issue for him during his time at Everton, where he managed only 13 appearances across all competitions.
At 29, what comes next for Dele is still unclear. For now, he continues working towards a return, hoping another opportunity will come soon enough.
Dele will not be joining MK Dons
Once one of the top performers in north London with Tottenham Hotspur, Dele has since had a tough time staying at that level.
He has spoken about personal challenges that have contributed to his struggles over the years, but he is still determined to turn things around.
A return to MK Dons has been rumoured lately, but their manager Paul Warne put an end to the speculation.
“There is absolutely no truth to it, unless I leave here and the owner pulls me aside!” he said.
“I’ve heard nothing, I’ve not spoken to him, we don’t know each other, we don’t have phone numbers, there’s no text banter. It’s complete rubbish.”
