Jack Grealish wrote on his Instagram story on Tuesday night that he ‘can’t wait to be back’ for Aston Villa.
The 25-year-old accompanied his comments with a picture of him being tackled by Crystal Palace midfielder Cheikhou Kouyate.
As each game ticks by with Aston Villa without Grealish, the more the club suffer, especially in the final third.
That was proven on Sunday when Villa couldn’t even trouble a Tottenham side that got stuffed in Croatia only days before.
At first, Villa supporters could have made an argument that they could cope without their expert ball-carrier for a small while.
But it’s becoming pretty clear that he needs to return as soon as possible.
Dean Smith’s men aren’t in danger of going down, of course, but they are in danger of allowing their season to fizzle out after a brilliant start.
Grealish won’t be available for England for the forthcoming internationals, so Villa fans will be hoping that will allow him to be as fit as possible for the Fulham clash when the players return after this mini-break.
If he’s not available for that game then Villa supporters will get those Championship vibes once more when he was out for three months even though the noise coming out of the club was that he was going to return in next to no time.
