Aston Villa are currently in 13th place in the Championship table.
Jack Grealish has told the Jim White Show, which was broadcast on TalkSPORT on 21st December, that he wants to stay with Aston Villa for as long as possible.
Grealish has been linked with moves away from Villa in many of the recent transfer windows, but he has stuck by his boyhood club, even following their relegation.
And the attacking midfielder insists that he wants to stay with the claret and blues for the future – although he hopes to be playing for them back in the Premier League.
“Of course, Villa is my club,” Grealish said, when asked whether his long-term aim was to stay with Villa.
“I just hope we can get promoted and be back in the Premier League. Then hopefully stay here and long may it continue.”
Grealish has been handed an important role at Villa under Steve Bruce, although he is not a permanent starter.
The 21-year-old has made 17 appearances for the claret and blues so far this campaign, and he has found the back of the net three times.
Villa have some way to go if they are to achieve their aim of being promoted this term, as they are playing catch up in the race for the top six.
