Aston Villa made it back-to-back league wins on Saturday afternoon.

Aston Villa made it back-to-back wins in the Championship on Saturday by beating Fulham 1-0 at Villa Park.
Jonathan Kodjia’s acrobatic effort 10 minutes from time saw Steve Bruce pick up his second win as Aston Villa manager in only three matches.
It was the first time that the Villans had picked up successive league victories since May 2015, when Tim Sherwood’s side beat West Ham United and Everton at Villa Park.

Kodjia, a £15 million signing from Bristol City, is one player who looks to be benefiting from Bruce replacing axed Roberto Di Matteo, given that the Ivorian has netted in all three of the 55-year-old’s games so far.
Things are good for Aston Villa at the moment, and Jack Grealish – who missed Saturday’s win through suspension – and Gary Gardner both reacted to the win on Twitter afterwards.

Aston Villa, who beat Reading on Tuesday for what was their first away win in close to 15 months, are 16th in the Championship but they are now only six points adrift of the playoff places. Suddenly, there is a very different feeling about their season.
