Jack Grealish has taken to Twitter to send a message to Anwar El Ghazi after it was confirmed on Aston Villa’s official website that the winger has joined the Premier League newbies on a permanent basis.

El Ghazi, of course, spent this past season on loan with the Villans and played a key role in their promotion out of the Championship. It was his goal that broke the deadlock in the play-off final win against Derby, and his form seemed to find another gear under Dean Smith.

Unsurprisingly therefore, Villa decided to try and keep the wide-man beyond the end of his loan, and they have today confirmed that El Ghazi has signed a four-year deal.

Grealish has taken to social media to comment on the news, and it is clear from the Villans talisman’s message that he is delighted that the club have made the move to keep El Ghazi on a permanent basis.

Given the way that Aston Villa played during the second-half of this past season, it is no surprise that Smith is keen to keep as much of the team together as possible, and he will be hoping that El Ghazi is not the last loanee to sign permanently.

If there is any chance to get both Tyrone Mings and Tammy Abraham back, Villa have to do all they can to get the pair through the door before focusing on the further additions that are going to hopefully help the club quickly reestablish themselves at the highest level.
