Jack Grealish has posted on his Instagram story that he is ‘hungrier than ever’, as speculation intensifies about his future at Aston Villa amid Manchester City’s interest.
The Atheltic have reported today that Manchester City are in ‘advanced’ talks to sign the Villa playmaker this summer.
And with Grealish set to return to pre-season during these coming days, he posted this four-word message on his Instagram story:
Villa are a club that have progressed an enormous amount since their money-troubling days in the Championship.
And with owners that have pilled so much money into the club, it would be a surprise if they allowed their star man to leave this summer.
There is obvious interest in Grealish’s ball-carrying talents, but Man City have to persuade those in the Villa boardroom to accept a bid for the Englishman before anything major can happen.
And given that Naseef Sawiris and Wes Edens are craving Champions League football, and have spent nearly £300 million since taking over in the Midlands, then it’s going to take a serious amount to turn their heads.
Either way, all will become clear as the days tick by towards that August 31 deadline, where the Villa Park faithful are hopeful that Grealish is still donning their colours.
