Arsenal are searching for that playmaker this summer, and whilst it won’t be Jack Grealish, it might just be James Maddison.
The Daily Mail have reported that Arsenal think they have a chance to sign Leicester City creator this summer.
But back in September, Villa’s very own creative talent had some harsh words to say about Maddison, as he told Sky Sports.
When guessing each other’s rating for Fifa 21, from their passing to their dribbling, Grealish questioned whether he can give Maddison a ’99’ rating for his diving.
“You know underneath the passing,” said Grealish. “Can we put diving so I can put Madders 99?”
Maddison laughed at Grealish’s claims and simply stated ‘Oh, wow’.

Some would raise the question as to why Maddison would swap the King Power Stadium for the Emirates given the situation both clubs are in.
There’s no doubt that Arsenal are the bigger club, but they aren’t in Europe, whilst Leicester are, and not forgetting the Foxes winning the FA Cup last season.
Plus, there aren’t any signs, from those at Arsenal, that they will leapfrog Brendan Rodgers side any time soon, who have outperformed those from the capital for the past few seasons.
Either way, a big summer awaits those in North London and if Arsenal are to get back to their best then they need to show some serious ambition in the transfer market, else Leicester will continue to fly ahead of them.
