Tammy Abraham posted on Instagram after he scored his 23rd goal of the season for Roma on Thursday night, in a Europa Conference League win over Bodo Glimt – and Jack Grealish has responded to his post.

It comes after The Athletic reported that super agent Jorge Mendes had held talks to lure Abraham back to London this summer – but not to Chelsea. Instead, to Tottenham, as a possible replacement for Harry Kane at Spurs.

Abraham, 23, has been sensational under ex-Spurs boss Jose Mourinho in Italy – so much so, that The Mail claim Roma want as much as £100million for the former Chelsea man. Nevertheless, Mendes has been in talks.

Following Thursday’s 4-0 win over the side that beat them 6-1 win in the group stages, Abraham took to Instagram to share his delight at scoring another goal and entering the semi-finals of a European competition.

Grealish to Abraham: Should Tottenham sign Roma striker?

Spurs could do with a striker but there is no chance that Abraham joins the London side when Kane is still at the club. With Spurs now in fourth and looking good under Antonio Conte, Kane looks more than likely to stay.

Indeed, the only club really capable of signing Kane is Manchester City and they are pressing ahead with a move for Dortmund’s Erling Haaland. But Abraham has been excellent this season, and warrants his big price tag.

Grealish agrees, commenting on Abraham’s Instagram – telling the England star that he is “on fire”.
