Aston Villa beat Colchester United 2-1 in League Cup action last night.
Jack Grealish has praised Callum O’Hare and Jed Steer for their performances for Aston Villa against Colchester United yesterday.
Villa beat their League Two opponents 2-1, despite Steve Bruce naming a number of youngsters in his line-up.
There were some very strong performances from Villa’s youthful squad, but it was O’Hare and Steer who earned particular praise from Grealish.
O’Hare was handed his senior debut for Villa in the contest, and his dribbling skill was clear for all to see.
Steer, meanwhile, saved a penalty and pulled off a number of excellent saves to ensure that Villa progressed.
Ian Taylor also posted a message on social media after the message, to praise Bruce’s side.
Taylor also praised O’Hare, put pointed out that Josh Onomah, who was making his full debut, played an important role in the victory.
Villa will find out their opponents in the next round of the Carabao Cup when the draw is made later this evening.
