Aston Villa midfielders impressed in dramatic 5-5 draw.

Jack Grealish and Conor Hourihane were at the heart of a fantastic attacking performance from Aston Villa against Nottingham Forest.
The two teams played out an incredible 5-5 draw, with six goals going in during the first half an hour.
Tammy Abraham grabbed the headlines by scoring four times for Villa. Grealish and Hourihane deserves credit for their performances too.
Grealish managed 94 touches in the win, more than any player on the pitch. Teammate Conor Hourihane was just one short with 93.
Forest’s Claudio Yacob and Jack Colback could not even manage 90 touches combined.
The two players put in remarkably similar statistical performances that it would be wrong to single one out over the other.
Both Grealish and Hourihane each created five chances. Their combined 10 key passes were more than the entire Forest team.

Hourihane completed 97 per cent of his passes, remarkably high success rate, with Grealish managing 90 per cent.
Grealish managed one assist, while Hourihane’s four tackles was the most from any Villa player.
If the pair continue to play like this, and Villa’s defence can improve, then they will be in the mix for promotion at the end of the season.
