Carroll is way down the pecking order at West Ham.

Jack Collison has been quoted by Sky Sports Transfer Centre (Thursday, 09:09am) as saying that Andy Carroll should consider leaving West Ham United before January’s Thursday deadline at 11pm, after falling down the pecking order.
Carroll, 30, is out of contract at West Ham in the summer, with the Hammers yet to renew his contract as the target man continues to struggle with injuries. He has only played 12 times this season.
In those 12 league and cup outings, the former England international has netted just one goal in the 2-0 FA Cup win over Birmingham City. He has plummeted down the pecking order.
Former West Ham midfielder Collison believes Carroll should consider leaving the Hammers this month before the deadline, with Manuel Pellegrini likely to keep faith with his other forwards in the second half of the season.
“It’s getting to that time with Andy Carroll. He’s fit, he’s desperate to play games and he’s not getting many minutes,” Collison said.
“So, for him, especially with the players West Ham are getting linked with at the moment, it could be an opportunity for him to go out and get some football somewhere because he brings a lot to the table.
“He’s effective and he’s totally different to a lot of strikers. It might be the right time for Andy to go and play some football and show everybody how good he is.”

Marko Arnautovic and Javier Hernandez are expected to remain at West Ham this month, with the club rejecting offers from Chinese Super League side Guanghzou Evergrande and Valencia for the two players, respectively.
However, Lucas Perez is close to leaving West Ham just six months after joining from Arsenal, with Sky Sports claiming Real Betis are to land the ex-Deportivo man for just £3.5million.
Signing for West Ham in the summer of 2013 from Liverpool for £15million (BBC Sport), Carroll has clocked up 140 appearances for the Hammers – scoring 34 goals and laying on 17 assists.
