Former West Ham United midfielder Jack Collison has named three of his old Hammers teammates as the best in three key areas.
West Ham’s Jack Collison goes off after sustaining an injury
Collison played 105 games for the Hammers, scoring 11 goals, including crucial strikes in the Championship Play-Off semi-final victory over Cardiff City in 2012.
The Watford-born former Wales midfielder grew up idolising Chelsea, the team of his late dad, but that did not stop him growing to love the supporters of one of their fiercest rivals.
After graduating to the West Ham first team from the club’s famous Academy under Alan Curbishley, Collison was one of the hottest prospects around.

Injuries cut short great talent’s career
But a series of devastating injuries restricted his playing time and has now ended his career at just 27.
The former Wales international – who has been training to be a sports journalist – has been coaching Peterborough United’s Under 18s and also helping with Posh’s U21 side.

Hammers trio were tops in three areas
In an interview with The Coaching Network magazine, Collison has lifted the lid on the brainiest player, hardest trainer and most skilful player he played with during his career – all of whom he played with during his time in East London.
“Brainiest would have to be (goalkeeper) Robert Green, hardest trainer would be Craig Bellamy, he was immense, and most skilful would be Ravel Morrison, he was quite a talent,” he told The Coaching Network.
It shows just how much of an impact Collison’s time with the Hammers had on his career given he has also represented Bournemouth, Wigan Athletic and Peterborough and also spent time with MK Dons and Ipswich Town too.
