Jack Colback has played an integral role for Newcastle this season.
Jack Colback was one of many Newcastle players to suffer the humiliation of relegation last season – but has started well in his attempts to propel them back to the Premier League.
Colback has proved an integral part of Newcastle’s XI this season, finishing on the winning team in the last 11 matches in which he has featured.
Newcastle’s latest result was a 3-0 victory over Ipswich Town, a match in which Colback started.
They currently sit top of the table with 31 points from 14 games, having shaken off their early struggles adapting to the Championship in August.

Part of Colback’s importance to the Newcastle team has been his ability to keep the ball. This season he has a pass completion rate of 88 per cent in Championship matches.
He has also won the ball back at an average of 3.6 times per game for his side, enabling the more creative players to do the flair work.
Colback has no goals, no assists, and hasn’t even created a single chance, but his record this season speaks for itself, and he is likely to keep his place in the team while the Magpies keep on winning.
