Tottenham Hotspur have already made a big statement of intent this summer.

Tottenham new-boy Jack Clarke spoke exclusively to the club’s official website after completing his move from Leeds United yesterday, and raved about his new club.
The 18-year-old joined Spurs for a fee believed to be worth in the region of £10 million, according to BBC Sport, and he will immediately rejoin Leeds on loan for the 2019/20 campaign.
Tottenham hadn’t signed anyone since January 2018 up until yesterday, and like a London bus, two came at once.
The Lilywhites completed a club record deal to sign Tanguy Ndombele from Lyon, so Clarke’s move went slightly under the radar.
Spurs are slowly evolving into one of England’s biggest clubs, especially after their move to their magnificent new 62,000 capacity home.
And Clarke’s words yesterday echoed that sentiment, as quoted by the club’s official website:

“Ever since I’ve been growing up, I’ve seen Tottenham playing in the Premier League, they’ve always been there or thereabouts, pushing, being a top side. It’s one of the biggest clubs in England, if not the world, and I’m just delighted to be a part of it.”
Mauricio Pochettino will be desperate to guide his side to a major trophy next season, and it seems as though Tottenham mean business this summer.
The signings of Clarke and Ndombele will likely be followed by more new arrivals, and for the first summer in a very long time, Spurs fans have a reason to be excited.
