Birmingham City have snapped up David Stockdale on a free transfer, after his contract at Brighton & Hove Albion expired.

Jack Butland has tweeted David Stockdale, congratulating the 31-year-old on joining Birmingham City.
Butland came through at Birmingham as a youngster, and was pleased for Stockdale to move to Harry Redknapp’s side.
Stockdale’s arrival at Birmingham has gone down well, as he was arguably the best goalkeeper in the Championship over the past campaign.
Stockdale helped Brighton & Hove Albion earn promotion to the Premier League, but wanted a move for personal reasons.

Harry Redknapp was quick to move for Stockdale, and offered him a three-year deal at St. Andrews.
Stockdale is set to go straight into Birmingham’s starting line-up next season, as Redknapp’s side aim for promotion.
Stockdale is Birmingham’s first signing of the summer, but more new additions are set to follow him to the Midlands.
