Sunderland defender Jack Baldwin has played a key role for Jack Ross’ side since signing.
Baldwin moved to Sunderland in the summer and has since played a vital role at the Stadium of Light.
The 25-year-old has been a key member of Sunderland’s defence, with his performances catching the eye.
And Baldwin feels that playing at Sunderland has helped him develop, as he is constantly being tested in training.
“I’m training with better players every day. When Geads [Aiden McGeady] gets you one-on-one in training, you can only learn from that,” he said.
“Playing with people like that every day, as a centre-back it is good to test yourself in that environment because come Saturday, I don’t think you’re ever going to face someone like him in this league. So you do feel like you’re developing on a daily basis.”
McGeady has really stepped up for Sunderland in recent weeks, with the attacker proving to be a massive danger at League One level.
The Republic of Ireland international has scored five goals and claimed four assists in just 12 appearances for the Black Cats this term.
McGeady’s excellent form has helped Sunderland climb right into the thick of the promotion battle.
Jack Ross’ side are currently in third place in the League One standings, but they have games in hand on both teams ahead of them.
