The former Everton and Swansea City defender has signed for Sunderland.

Jack Bainbridge has expressed his delight at signing for Sunderland after his release by Swansea City. Bainbridge, a product of Everton’s youth system, was announced as Sunderland’s latest capture today (Wednesday), hours after HITC Sport exclusively reported a deal had been agreed.
And though he is set to begin his Stadium of Light career with Elliott Dickman’s Under-23s, Bainbridge revealed in a Twitter post earlier this afternoon that he cannot wait for the season to start.
He wrote:
Released by Everton a year ago, Bainbridge failed to make an impact at Swansea, making only two appearances for the Welsh side’s U23s.
But the centre-back could fare better at Sunderland, who as a League One outfit may be more inclined to include him in their first team plans if he impresses.

Teenage Sunderland striker Joel Asoro could be heading in the opposite direction, after Swansea had an offer in the region of £2 million accepted by the Mackems on Tuesday.
Can Bainbridge bounce back from his Everton and Swansea disappointment at Sunderland?
