The Dutchman managed the Royals in the Championship between 2016 and 2018.

Jaap Stam, who managed Reading between 2016 and 2018, will become the new head coach of Feyenoord on 1 June this year, the Eredivisie club has confirmed.
The 46-year-old was appointed as manager of the Championship club on an initial two-year contract on 13 June 2016 and led the Royals to the Championship play-off final in his first season.
However, poor results the following campaign saw Reading slip to 20th, within three points of the relegation zone, and in March 2018, Stam and the Royals parted company.
Stam returned to his native Netherlands and went on to take charge of PEC Zwolle in December 2018 on an 18-month contract but he will now be replacing Giovanni van Bronckhorst as Feyenoord’s new coach in the summer.
Van Bronckhorst announced in January that he would be leaving his position at the end of the season, with former Manchester United defender Stam being appointed as his successor on a two-year contract.

Feyenoord are one of the most successful clubs in the Netherlands, with 15 Eredivisie titles, 13 Dutch Cups, and three European trophies – one European Champions Cup and two UEFA Cups – in their cabinet (Transfermarkt).
As a player, Stam had a fruitful career, starting out at PEC Zwolle, and also representing the likes of PSV Eindhoven, Manchester United, AC Milan, Lazio and Ajax, as well as winning 67 caps for the Oranje.
He won the Champions League with the Red Devils in 1999 and started his coaching career with assistant roles at Zwolle and Ajax before going on to take the Reading job.
