Brown scored two well-taken goals as Leeds beat Crewe.

Izzy Brown will have delighted Leeds United fans after scoring a brace for the reserve side on Monday afternoon in a 2-0 win over Crewe Alexandra – and he delivered an injury update on Twitter after the match.
The 22-year-old attacker is yet to feature for Leeds’ senior side after joining the club on a season-long loan from Chelsea in the summer, with the Whites fully of the knowledge that Brown was recovering from injury.
Brown had suffered an anterior cruciate ligament injury while on loan with Brighton last season, but is close to a recovery and has been turning out for the Whites’ second string of late.
The England youth international took an big step towards a first-team return on Monday at Thorp Arch, scoring both goals as Carlos Corberan’s men returned to the top of the Professional Development League.
Leeds are in need of attacking midfielders after Samu Saiz returned to his home country of Spain, joining La Liga side Getafe on a season-long loan. Meanwhile, Lewis Baker has had his loan from Chelsea cancelled – he has since joined Reading.
Marcelo Bielsa’s side are next in action on Saturday afternoon, when they travel to the Britannia Stadium to take on a struggling Stoke City side. Fans will be hoping of a repeat from the first game of the season, which resulted in a 3-1 win.
