Chelsea talent Izzy Brown made no mention of former club West Brom after making his long awaited debut against them.
Highly rated England under-19 international Izzy Brown made his long awaited Chelsea debut last night.
The attacking midfielder came on as a late substitute in the 3-0 defeat against his former club West Brom, in a dead rubber of a match for the Blues.
Brown, 18, played the last 11 minutes, and took to Twitter after the game to speak of his delight at finally making a first team appearance for Chelsea.
He did not however mention the opponents, West Brom – the club he left in 2013, even after they handed him a Premier League start at just 16-years-old.
Seeing him line up for Chelsea will have been disappointing for West Brom fans, with it possible he could even be a first team regular by now had he stayed at The Hawthorns.
Over the past few seasons, Brown has become a regular for Chelsea’s under-21s, and won trophies; the 2014 European Championships at under-17 level with England, and the 2014/15 UEFA Youth League with Chelsea.
The fact he has now made his senior debut for the club is a huge credit to his ability, the challenge now is to kick on and try to force his way in next season on a more regular basis.
