Andrea Radrizzani has admitted to beIN SPORTS (02/11/20 at 7:50 pm) that he has ‘thought about’ Leeds winning the Premier League title.

Former Scotland striker Andy Gray suggested to the Leeds owner whether or not he has let his mind ‘drift’ to the possibility of Leeds being champions of England during this ‘strange year’.

But whilst the Italian didn’t hide the fact that it has entered his mind, he made it clear that he is aiming for Europe first and foremost.

“Have you let yourself drift to the fact that I wonder what it would be like to win the Premier League?” Gray asked.

“Not yet,” Radrizzani responded with a beaming smile on his face. “I have thought about that, yes. I dream to take Leeds to Europe that’s. But I know that it’s not now that it can come after 3-5 years.”

Gray interjected and asked “Why not now?”

Radrizzani responded: “I think it’s a bit too early. I think everything come in the right time. We should be ready for that.”

Gray added: “But it’s a strange year, wouldn’t you agree in football? With the pandemic.”

“It’s one step at a time,” the Italian insisted. “I hope that we don’t get to Europe yet. We wouldn’t be ready next year. But I want to stay in the Premier League, that’s for sure.”

Leeds conceded four at home to high-flying Leicester City on Monday night, whose energetic, direct and rapid forward line was too hot to handle for Marcelo Bielsa’s men.

Whilst Leeds fans will be hoping to finish as high as possible, the club needs to just maintain their safety for next season, build a platform and stabilise the club.

If the Yorkshire side can overachieve during that period by finishing in the top-half then it will be a bonus because securing a bottom half finish shouldn’t be looked at in a negative manner either.

But despite the defeat on Monday night, Leeds fans are well aware that they have the style and power to hurt anyone, so those hopes will be a little high yet.
