Charles Watts has shared that it’s ‘good news’ for Arsenal fans regarding Thomas Partey’s injury scare while on international duty with Ghana, as he told his own YouTube channel.
Mikel Arteta’s side are sitting top of the Premier League table and the last thing they need is their key players heading for the treatment room ahead of their showdown with Spurs.
But according to Watts, it’s nothing but ‘precaution’ with Partey and it’s ‘relatively positive’ after he spoke to people close to the midfielder.

Partey has been one of Arsenal’s key players this season and a big reason why they have suffered only one defeat this season.
A player like Granit Xhaka has been able to drive forward and thrive in the more attacking players, because of the left-sided fullback, but also because of Partey’s defensive quality alongside him.
And Arsenal fans will be glad to hear that it sounds like he will be lining up against Spurs after the international break.
“Good news, as far as I understand when it comes to Thomas Partey and this injury, it was just purely precaution,” said Watts.
“It sounds like it was an issue with his knee. There was a report coming out from Ghana that there was an issue with his knee that he felt in his warm-up. Then the decision was taken just not to risk it.
“Now, I have spoken to people close to Thomas Partey and they absolutely don’t think it’s serious whatsoever. He’s not coming back to Arsenal. He is going to stay in Ghana, by all accounts. They do have another game this week.
“It doesn’t sound like he is going to play in that, but it seems as though the coach is going to look at some of the other players in his squad ahead of the World Cup, rather than the guaranteed starters.
“On the whole, it sounds relatively positive with Thomas Partey. Of course, it’s a worry that he has felt something. But it doesn’t sound like it’s something that should be keeping him out of the Spurs game.”

CAN ARSENAL SEND OUT ANOTHER STATEMENT?
Arsenal are already sending out signals that they mean serious business because they are sitting top of the Premier League table.
But if they beat their fellow neighbours, who are unbeaten under Antonio Conte in the league so far, then it would be another statement of intent from the club.
Yes, Arsenal went into the final few hurdles of last season in control and looking like they were going to secure fourth spot, only to fall at the last.
But this is one of the best starts the team has made in a very long time and the belief within the fanbase hasn’t been so positive.
