The last thing Arsenal need right now is another serious injury to Thomas Partey.
He joined the Gunners in a £45 million deal back in October but two injuries have limited the former Atletico Madrid powerhouse to only six Premier League starts.
And with Arsenal bang in form and climbing the table, Mikel Arteta, whose side are eighth, would be livid to lose the big man now.
There is some cause for concern though because the 27-year-old midfielder came off after 78 minutes of the midweek win away to Southampton.
And with Arsenal hosting Manchester United in North London tomorrow, Arteta needs the Ghanaian fit.
But thankfully, it seems that Partey will be available to the Spaniard after Goal.com journalist Charles Watts revealed on his YouTube channel that he has been given a very positive update on Partey’s fitness from people close to the player himself.
He said: “I’ve spoken to people close to Thomas Partey and they were hopeful that he’d be alright for the weekend, that it was nothing too serious.”
Partey produced a monstrous performance in the 1-0 win away to United at the beginning of November.
And with Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang a big doubt to face the Red Devils due to personal issues involving his mother, Arsenal need all the influence they can get.
