Speaking to TalkSPORT, Stuart Dallas has addressed the speculation around Marcelo Bielsa’s future at Leeds United.
The Argentine has famously only ever signed a one-year deal at Leeds, and we’re only a couple of months away from his contract once again expiring.
As you can imagine, this has led to plenty of speculation about him potentially leaving the club, while there have also been reports about him signing a two-year deal this time around, and Dallas has addressed these rumours.
“I’ve seen those rumours on Twitter and stuff. I don’t know what will happen. We’re all hoping that he stays,” Dallas said.
“You know what he’s done for us as individuals has been incredible, as you touched on earlier, the core of our squad was a mid-table Championship team three years ago, and now we’re a mid-table Premier League team at the minute. It’s been incredible and the changes he’s made throughout the club have been incredible as well.
“Hats off to the hierarchy at the club who’ve managed to get him here. I think he enjoys it. He loves the city and hopefully he’ll be here for another few years yet.”

We’re not surprised that Dallas and the Leeds team want Bielsa to stay.
However, it is interesting to note that Dallas says that Bielsa is enjoying life at Leeds and that he loves the city as those two things could be key in getting him to sign new terms.
Bielsa has always never been a manager to settle down, often leaving clubs after a season or two, so there has often been the worry that he’d leave Leeds rather swiftly, but we’re currently in season three of his reign, and it doesn’t look as though he’s going to be walking away from Elland Road anytime soon.
