Dean Henderson told UMM’s YouTube channel that Tottenham striker Harry Kane is ‘the best finisher I have seen in my life’.

The Old Trafford shot-stopper would have faced some of Kane’s thunderbolts, both in the Premier League and when on England duty, so if anyone knows just how good he is then it’s Henderson.

And whilst Henderson would have faced and worked alongside some top talents during his career.

He made it clear that Tottenham’s thriving star is ‘the best’ finisher and explained how he could have become an outfield player himself.

“Sometimes, I do regret not going outfield,” said Henderson. “I think I would have had an opportunity as well.

“I reckon I would have been a striker – my finishing, I do it every day and I wish that I may be stuck with it. I think I could have been scoring them instead of saving them.

On who his finishing is like in the England squad: “It’s hard to say. I smash it as hard as Harry Kane.

“I hit it as hard, but he’s just the best finisher I have seen in my life, so I cannot put myself in that category.”

Whilst it seems unlikely now, given that Henderson’s game time has increased at Old Trafford in recent weeks, the Englishman has been someone who Tottenham have looked at.

The Sun have reported how Spurs were ‘confident’ of securing Henderson’s signature in the summer up until a month ago given his change of game time.

The £40m player is thought to be on Tottenham’s radar, as the North London club look to replace their ageing and error-prone number one, Hugo Lloris.
