Dean Henderson told UMM’s YouTube channel that he has ‘played along’ with the claims that he is related to Liverpool midfielder, Jordan Henderson.
As well as sharing the same surname, both players would have also shared the same dressing room with England and might do just that once again at the Euros.
But it seems as though some supporters have assumed, because of the obvious, that Dean and Jordan are related.
And whilst the Manchester United shot-stopper batted off those claims, he did admit that he likes playing along with it.
“False,” said Henderson. “But a couple of times it has been brought up and I have played along with it. Quite regularly.”
Dean Henderson will be hoping to be in the same starting XI as Jordan when the Euros hit our screens this summer.
Fitness and injury aside, both are near-on guaranteed a spot in Gareth Southgate’s final squad.
And whilst the Liverpool midfielder should start if fit, the same cannot be said for the Old Trafford star, who has Everton’s Jordan Pickford standing in his way.
