Jack Wilshere has heard that Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta’s training sessions are very impressive, on the ITV Football Podcast.

Arteta has come under some pressure at Arsenal, as their results have taken a turn for the worse of late.

But Wilshere insists that everything he hears about the Gunners boss is positive.

“I’ve heard he’s really good, a lot of people who were there when I was there have left, but a few are still there,” he said.

“He’s really hands on, it’s really coach led, is what I’ve heard, he knows what he wants and where he wants his players to be.

“He wants hard work every session and I think you can see that when he first came in.”

Arteta’s training ground work has actually been very evident at times for Arsenal, as they do look very well drilled, particularly defensively.

Unfortunately for Arteta his rather regimented style could be limiting their attacking output, though.

Arsenal have badly struggled going forward this season, with their offensive players seemingly stifled.

Arsenal are currently in 12th place in the Premier League table, having scored just nine goals in their first nine games this season.
