Celtic have signed the Switzerland international striker from Premier League club West Ham in the summer transfer window.
As reported by The Scottish Sun, the 23-year-old striker has signed a four-year contract with the Hoops.
Former Rangers and Liverpool midfielder Adam, who is a now a free agent after leaving Reading, does not seem to think that Ajeti is a good signing for the Hoops.
Adam said on PLZ Soccer, as transcribed by The Scottish Sun: “It’s tougher coming to Scotland.
“Wait until you go to play Livingston, wait until you go to play Hamilton on the astroturf. That’ll open the lad’s eyes up. £5million is a lot of investment for Celtic, he’s a young player.
“Have I seen enough of him? I’ve heard through the grapevine that he’s not at the level that everybody thinks he is.”

Staying positive
Ajeti could not do much of note at West Ham last season, but the 23-year-old is a good striker who has a strong reputation.
The Switzerland international will score goals and enhance the team’s quality on the pitch if he is given a run of games and played to his strength.
Meanwhile, Ajeti has said that he was in contact with Mohamed Elyounoussi before he made the move to Celtic.
Winger Elyounoussi is back at the Hoops on a loan deal from Southampton and played with Ajeti at Basel.
The Daily Record quotes Ajeti as saying about Elyounoussi: “I played with Moi Elyounoussi back in the days with Basle, he’s a great player, a good boy. I’m really happy I get to play with him again.
“This was one of the main reasons, I am the kind of striker where I think Celtic fit perfect to me as a striker so I’m looking forward to making him happy.
“He called me and text me a couple of times, he knew my situation and he knew me as a player and he really tried to convince me but it wasn’t needed. It was just a matter of time until everything was done with Celtic.”
