David Ornstein has told Sky Sports that he is convinced that Stan Kroenke won’t be selling Arsenal any time soon.

Josh Kroenke informed Arsenal supporters at a question and answer session last week that they had no intention of selling up.

And it seems that his words were very much true, given what Ornstein has just said about Arsenal’s owners.

“When criticism comes in they put a shell on and they are resistant to it,” Ornstein said. “It doesn’t affect them. You should see some of the media coverage of Stan Kroenke in the USA.

“He moved his American football team to a different city and he was sharply criticised for that.

“But they have never sold any of their sporting franchises and Arsenal are said to be the jewel in the crown.

“Therefore, they would be no intention – they are not going anywhere.

“They’re not going anywhere, it would take something astronomical for them to consider selling. The Kroenkes are long term investors.

“This criticism will not be water off a duck’s back, they will feel it keenly, but they will carry on with their project, I’ve got no doubt about that.”

The update may come as a major disappointment to many Arsenal fans.

Gunners supporters have protested outside the ground in vast numbers in the past week.

Rumours of potential buyers have also cropped up, but it seems any buyout it highly unlikely, judging by the news from multiple sources.

The Kroenkes may now be fighting a losing battle win back the trust of Arsenal fans.

However, they will be under significant pressure to invest this summer, as Mikel Arteta’s side have struggled badly in the league, and clearly need an injection of quality.
