Speaking on the Talking Transfers Podcast, Graeme Bailey has been discussing Nottingham Forest’s transfer window so far and their remaining plans this summer.
The Tricky Trees have been the most active team in the Premier League thus far in this transfer window. They’ve added no fewer than 11 new players to their squad, and, incredibly, they’re not finished yet.
Indeed, according to Bailey, Forest are still in the market for four new signings, including a new striker and another centre-back.
What’s been said?
Bailey spoke about Forest’s transfer plans.
“They will certainly be a team to watch, I think they could really do what we saw with Leeds in their frist season. If they hit the ground running they could be very impressive,” Bailey said.
“I’ve been told up to 15 (signings), that sounds odd but they already have 11, they want another striker, they like Emmanuel Dennis who can play up front next to Awoniyi who is his international colleague with Nigeria. They want another centre-half as well I’m told.”

Giving it their all
Nottingham Forest are back in the Premier League and they mean business.
While some promoted clubs can rest on their laurels and refuse to take risks in their attempts to establish themselves in the top-flight – we’re looking at you Fulham and your two signings this summer, Forest have made sure to give it their all in the transfer market.
Of course, whether or not these additions prove to be enough remain to be seen, but 15 signings is a mass overhaul and you can’t knock the ambition the East Midlands outfit are showing.
Don’t be shocked if Forest are the surprise package of this season.
