Charles Watts has claimed that Arsenal will still sign ‘two forwards’ during the summer transfer window ahead of the expected arrival of Marquinhos from Sao Paulo, as he told his own YouTube channel.
The Arsenal transfer expert added that Marquinhos’ arrival ‘won’t impact’ what the club are planning in the summer transfer market.
Just like with Gabriel Martinelli, the Gunners are dipping into the South American market once again and looking for that gem.
That could possibly come in the form of a Brazilian teenager, as there are suggestions a deal is close for the versatile player.
Nonetheless, this is what Watts had to say about Arsenal’s transfer plans ahead of the arrival of Marquinhos.
“As far as I am aware and I have been told this isn’t going to impact their summer transfer plans,” said Watts.
“It’s not going to change it. For example, Arsenal are looking at two forwards in the summer.
“The signing of Marquinhos, or the arrival of him, it’s not going to impact that. It’s not like Arsenal are now going to sign one forward in the summer transfer window.”

CHAMPIONS LEAGUE FOOTBALL COULD DICTATE ARSENAL TRANSFER PLANS
There’s no doubt that Arsenal will want to go big and be ambitious in who they bring in this summer.
But it could be dictated by what happens this week regarding the race to secure Champions League football.
If Mikel Arteta can guide the club to a top-four finish, then the pool of talent they can target and lure to the Emirates would be much bigger and of better quality.
So, it’s paramount that they don’t shoot themselves in the foot because, for large parts of the season, it has been positive for Arsenal.
