Fabrizio Romano says that Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta is under absolutely no pressure, despite his side’s poor start to the season.
Speaking on the Arsenal Lounge, Romano claimed that he had been talking to people around Arsenal recently, and had received a message of unity from the board.
Arteta may have fallen under pressure from some sections of Arsenal’s support, with the North London side falling down to 15th place in the Premier League.
But Arsenal’s board actually feel that sacking Arteta now would be the worst possible decision that they could make.
“I have been speaking with people around Arsenal and I always had the same feeling that there is no pressure or no risk for Arteta,” Romano said.
“They are so happy with him. You can think I’m crazy to say that they have no pressure after this bad moment for Arsenal.
“But they need time, this is the feeling from the board, sacking Arteta would be crazy at this time and destroy the club in their opinion so they’re going to give him time to bring in players in January.”
Arteta bought himself some time at Arsenal by winning the FA Cup last term, but there is no question that results now need to improve sooner rather than later.

Arteta was already under mounting pressure from supporters before their defeat to Tottenham Hotspur, and that loss has only ramped up the scrutiny further.
Arsenal have only scored 10 goals in 11 games and unless Arteta can find a way to get the Gunners’ attack to click in the coming weeks then it is difficult to see how they improve from their current slump.
Arsenal are next in league action against Burnley at the weekend, and another defeat could spell disaster, as it would drag them perilously close to the relegation zone.
