Aaron Ramsey admits he has been ‘lacking that consistency’ for a few years and now aims to put his issues in the past to enjoy a successful spell with Rangers, via the Daily Record.
Giovanni van Bronckhorst hired the Wales hero on loan from Juventus during the January market. But fitness problems have restricted how often the Gers boss has been able to call on Ramsey. So far, the 31-year-old has played just eight of 17 games since moving to Ibrox.
The midfielder has also only started five of his outings in all competitions, and none in the Europa League. He has only played four minutes in the UEFA tournament in the knockout round play-off first-leg, ahead of the Glasgow outfit’s quarter-final second-leg with Braga.

Rangers host Braga at Ibrox on Thursday trailing 1-0 after a slender defeat in Portugal last week. Van Bronckhorst left Ramsey on the bench against Carlos Carvalhal’s side, as he did in both last 16 meetings with Red Star Belgrade. Even though he had scored against Celtic.
The 72-cap playmaker broke the deadlock in the Old Firm derby for his second Rangers hit after scoring against Dundee. He also has one assist, offered at fourth-tier Annan Athletic.
Aaron Ramsey wants to overcome ‘lacking that consistency’ during Rangers loan
Injuries have been part and parcel of Ramsey’s game since long before he joined Rangers from Juventus. The three-time FA Cup winner struggled to gain a consistent role in Turin after his move from Arsenal in 2019. And those issues have followed Ramsey to Glasgow.

Now, Ramsey feels he is in a condition to help Rangers enjoy a successful season in three competitions. A two-goal win over Braga on Thursday will put the Ibrox side in the Europa League semi-finals. They also face Premiership title-rivals Celtic in the Scottish Cup semis.
“I’m feeling good,” Ramsey noted. “I know I’ve been lacking that consistency over the past few years. I’ve been feeling better and stronger, and looking forward to finding my rhythm and showing what I am capable of doing.
“I came here to win. This is a huge game for us to progress, and there is pressure on you here. I have experience at clubs playing under this pressure. Hopefully, I can help make this a successful season for us.”
