Rafael Benitez is in charge of Newcastle United at the moment.

ITV journalist Peter Adam Smith has revealed on Twitter that Newcastle United manager Rafael Benitez told him that he consulted Frank McParland about the prospect of becoming the new Celtic manager.
Benitez is in charge of Newcastle at the moment, but the former Liverpool and Chelsea manager is out of contract at the Magpies this summer, and no new deal is in place.
Celtic have recently appointed Neil Lennon as their permanent manager, but there was speculation among bookmakers before the announcement was made that Benitez was in the running for the Celtic Park hotseat, as reported in The Chronicle.
ITV’s Scotland correspondent Peter Adam Smith has revealed on Twitter that he has had a chat with Benitez regarding his situation at Newcastle.

Smith has disclosed that Benitez told him he had consulted former Rangers scout McParland about the Celtic managerial job, and that the Spaniard is open to taking charge of the Glasgow giants in the future.
Benitez, though, made it clear, according to Smith, that there were no talks with Celtic this time.
