Celtic fans have taken to Twitter to react after noticing what Kyogo Furuhashi did after being substituted last night.

What’s the story?

Well, the £4.6m man was spotted picking up litter from the touchline at Celtic Park last night, where Bayer Leverkusen won 4-0.

After Ange Postecoglou withdrew him in place of Giorgos Giakoumakis in the 74th minute, Kyogo cleaned up some litter on his way to the bench.

It may only have been a 9-second clip, although it said a lot about the 26-year-old and the type of character he is.

Clearly, Kyogo has been raised superbly, and has brought a Japanese culture to Glasgow in the way that he conducts himself.

The only thing missing from him last night was a goal.

How did Kyogo fail to score for Celtic last night?

We simply can’t believe Kyogo didn’t score yesterday.

Celtic’s No.8 took the ball around Lukáš Hrádecký superbly, and just had to tap into an empty net.

However, Jonathan Tah remarkably poked the ball away for a corner before Kyogo could finish.

After that, the Japanese forward was also guilty of missing an open goal – he smashed the ball wide, with the goalmouth gaping.

Nevertheless, Kyogo has become such a huge fan favourite that he has credit in the bank for these moments – we’ll let him off for last night.

One thing we must say, however, is that his movement is phenomenal.

The way in which Kyogo can ghost into goalscoring areas unnoticed is incredible – he’ll score plenty if he keeps this up.

For now, let’s see what the Celtic fans on Twitter have been saying about the 9-second footage…
