Ian Wright has raved about Liverpool’s Diogo Jota, who continues to go from strength to strength at Anfield, after he scored against Leicester City yesterday.

Speaking to Premier League productions, during their live coverage, Wright said that Jota’s start at Liverpool has been simply ‘unbelievable’.

The summer signing now has eight goals in his first 12 games for Jurgen Klopp’s side.

And Wright has been so impressed by just how well rounded the Liverpool attacker is.

He said: “It is a brilliant start. That’s all you want. To get eight goals in 12, it’s unbelievable.

“He’s just going to go to the next level, that’s what’s going to happen.

“He plays like a winger, he can get back and defend, he can take people on. He can do everything. It’s an inspired signing.”

Jota’s goal against Leicester was extremely well taken, as he crashed in a header from a pin-point Andy Robertson cross.

The Portuguese forward has now forced his way into Liverpool’s starting line-up already, and will surely keep his place even when Mohamed Salah is available again.

Jota was far from the only Liverpool player who impressed yesterday, though.

Klopp’s side put in a brilliant display, considering their injury problems, as they took apart Leicester and cruised to a 3-0 victory.
