Jose Enrique thinks ‘£100 million’ for Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane is ‘a lot of money’ for a player that is going to hit 30 in the summer.

The former Liverpool left-back added on his Instagram story that he thinks Kane will depart Spurs in the summer.

Kane’s contract expires in less than 18 months and Daniel Levy has to make some sort of call about his future sooner rather than later.

Whilst the Spurs chairman kept his star striker on board when Manchester City came calling a couple of years ago, he can’t go down that same road if he doesn’t sign a new deal.

Losing Kane for next to nothing the following summer would prove to be a financial disaster for the club.

Either way, with Antonio Conte’s side getting knocked out of the FA Cup recently, that’s another trophy that is seemingly going to pass by the north London club.

As a result, many think Kane could depart, with Enrique speaking about the rumoured ‘£100 million’ fee over the player’s head.

“I believe it’s a lot of money (£100 million) for someone who will be 30 in the summer,” said Enrique.

“But it’s true that Kane is a striker and it’s how the market is right now. They pay this kind of amount for anyone, so are you not going to pay it for Harry Kane? I believe he is leaving Spurs this summer.”

CHAMPIONS LEAGUE HOPE

Tottenham welcome Serie A champions AC Milan to London for the second leg of their Champions League tie, with Conte expected to return to the dugout.

This is the last chance saloon for the club to make something of their season.

It seems as though, all season long, there has been doom and gloom. From questions about the style of play to constant questions about Conte’s own future.

If they get booted out, after losing the first leg 1-0, then it will only increase and further hype all of that talk.
