Ryan Kent, then of Ibrox side Glasgow Rangers, took a swipe at Celtic’s Scott Brown a few months ago.

Celtic captain Scott Brown has confirmed that he signed an art piece which captured the moment Ryan Kent swung on him while playing for Rangers last season – and then said he has been ‘punched by better people!’
Kent, on loan with the Gers last season, was slapped with a retrospective ban for the incident with the controversial Hoops midfielder during a fiery clash at Parkhead.
The 22-year-old, on the losing side as Celtic beat Steven Gerrard’s Rangers 2-1, was photographed swinging at the veteran in what has since become something of an iconic image.
Brown infuriated the light Blues fans directly after the game by celebrating the victory in front of them, but the 34-year-old skipper is able to shelve the bitter rivalry in the name of charity and he reveals that he signed a painting for the friend of a Rangers supporter who passed away.
He told The Scottish Sun: “It’s true, I did sign the painting of me being punched. It’s nice to be nice sometimes. And it’s a good picture — probably the best I’ve looked!
“I’m happy to do it if helps a charity or maybe someone who’s in a bad place. If someone’s willing to bid for it at an auction then I’m willing to help out.
“Yeah, I’m getting punched in the photo, but I’ve been punched by better people!”
Brown could hardly be any more hated by Rangers fans, but that’s as a player. As a man, this is a very classy gesture and one that might slightly endear the Celtic legend to those who dislike him most…..if only until next season begins.
