Mohamed Salah has been speaking to ESPN Brasil about life at Liverpool, where he admitted he finds one thing “tough” to deal with at times.

What’s the story?

Well, the £200,000-a-week man said he can often struggle with the distractions that come with playing for Liverpool.

Speaking to ESPN Brasil, Salah said: “It’s hard to concentrate. I know how to stay focused, but it’s tough. There are too many distractions, too many people talking about everything. The team was fine while I was at the African Cup of Nations, but they were like, ‘How long will you be there? When are you coming back?'”

If Salah is struggling to deal with distractions, he certainly isn’t showing it out on the pitch.

Of course, the Egypt international has been without a goal in his last three Premier League appearances, but he’s still playing at a very high level.

Salah provided the assist for Sadio Mané in the 2-2 draw against Manchester City on Sunday with a brilliant pass, and has continued to torment defenders despite failing to add to his 28 goals in recent weeks.

Now, should he read these comments, it’s down to Jürgen Klopp to help his talisman deal with the distractions which he claims are troubling him.

Liverpool are helping Mohamed Salah

Luckily for Salah, the quality of his teammates is helping to take some of the pressure away from his shoulders.

As aforesaid, the 29-year-old hasn’t scored in three Premier League outings, while he also failed to score in both games against Benfica.

Had nobody else stepped up, Salah surely would’ve been harshly criticised for failing to score, but thankfully, the likes of Roberto Firmino, Mané and Diogo Jota helped out.

With depth like that in attack, it’s no wonder Liverpool have reached the Semi-Finals of the FA Cup and Champions League, while also maintaining a title race.

Hopefully, Salah can rediscover his scoring touch soon.
