Tottenham Hotspur fans have called for Dennis Cirkin to be handed his debut against Newcastle United on Sunday, after the latest injury news.

Sky Sports say that Tottenham may be without Sergio Reguilon at the weekend, while Ben Davies will definitely be out.

With Matt Doherty also likely to be sidelined, Spurs’ options at left-back look very thin.

Jose Mourinho could deploy Serge Aurier, Japhet Tanganga or Moussa Sissoko out of position on the left-hand side of defence.

But Tottenham fans would rather see the responsibility given to Cirkin.

Cirkin has been training with Tottenham’s senior squad for most of the season, and is believed to be rated highly by Jose Mourinho.

The 18-year-old would be taking a big step by earning his first-team debut though, especially as Newcastle may well have Allan Saint-Maximin fit and available.

Mourinho has been willing to throw Tottenham’s youngsters into his team this season, but he has generally used them in the Europa League rather than Premier League matches.
