West Ham are reportedly ready to offer Diafra Sakho a new deal after being impressed with his recent form, The Mail report.

Sakho came off the bench to inspire a victory in the Hammers’ win over Swansea before the international break, and it is time he was rewarded with a start.

West Ham visit Burnley this weekend and they should start up front with a pairing of Javier Hernandez and Diafra Sakho.

The Hernandez and Andy Carroll combination has not really worked so far, and playing one up front has not been a solution either.

West Ham fans want to see their side playing attacking football, and Diafra Sakho has earned his spot.

Bilic is under pressure to get results, but if he is going to get the chop, he needs go down swinging, and this means setting out a side with intent to win, rather than scrape by.

It could even be the solution to actually saving his job, and Andy Carroll should start on the bench, where the big money striker may be best as an impact substitute in any case.

Results have not been good for West Ham so far this season, so it is time for him to try something different. Sakho has earned it, while Hernandez is at present simply too good to be dropped.
